09/09
Recently, Asia Green Fund's portfolio company, YiLab Temperature Control Technologies (YiLab), has announced the close of an oversubscribed pre-A funding round, bringing its total funding to over $10 million. This milestone reflects growing investor confidence in YiLab’s mission to transform textile innovation through its brand LifeLabs Design, which develops sustainable fabrics for temperature-regulating apparel.
As the core of YiLab, LifeLabs—a brand built around temperature-regulating textiles that emphasize low resource consumption in manufacturing while delivering superior comfort and energy efficiency. LifeLabs’ textile platform is built on a decade of research originating at Stanford University. What began as an academic breakthrough has matured into a commercially viable solution for reducing global energy consumption and carbon emissions.
The funding round attracted a diverse mix of strategic investors from the technology, sustainability, and consumer sectors. The capital will primarily support the scaling of LifeLabs’ core patented technologies: WarmLife® (dynamic insulation) and CoolLife® (continuous cooling). These innovations provide high-performance, sustainable material solutions for global functional apparel brands—particularly in outdoor and activewear—enabling smarter thermal comfort management.
“This investment is a key milestone in our mission to turn textiles into efficient climate solutions,” said Sophia Ou, Co-Founder and CEO of YiLab. “The strong response from investors reflects both the growing global demand for intelligent textiles and confidence in our technology. With new labs and production facilities, we are building a streamlined pathway from innovation to real-world impact—delivering advanced fabrics faster to consumers and partners.”
